The deeper part of the Miocene quartz sand aquifers of Jutland, Denmark, contain pristine freshwater of very high quality. Hydrochemistry, environmental tracers and
groundwater modelling from previous studies show that the deepest of three major Miocene sand aquifers, the Ribe Formation, contain high-quality groundwater recharged during a few thousand years in the Holocene
