Abstract

As a consequence of ministerial reorganisation a new national geological survey, with the responsibility for geoscientific matters throughout the Kingdom of Denmark, was established in June 1995. This new institution - The Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland - in the Ministry of Environment and Energy, has its headquarters in Copenhagen, with branch offices in the Faeroe Islands and Greenland in, respectively, the capital towns of Thorshavn and Nuuk.
