    Abstract

A safe technique useful in the preparation of spores, pollen, dinoflagellate cysts, acritarchs and other acid-insoluble microfossils is described. The technique utilizes a macerationtank for hydrofluoric acid treatment of palynological samples. Some techniques in subsequent preparation are mentioned. These include heavy-liquid separation, oxidation, ethanol water separation (modified), swirling (modified), ultrasonic treatment, filtration.
