Abstract
As part of the EFP-93 Cretaceous Stratigraphy Project, palynological analysis of samples from the Adda-3 and Bo-1 wells were undertaken to produce a chronostratigraphic break down of the Chalk Group (Cenomanian-Danian).
The chronostratigraphic subdivision of the Chalk Group that has been produced as a result of these analyses is presented below. It builds on correlation of the assemblages with north-west European and North American literature on the dinoflagellate distribution in a number of well-dated sections.
