    Abstract

A biostratigraphical analysis of Tertiary deposits from a borehole on Rømø is given, based on foraminifera and megaspores. The lowermost fossiliferous clay is of probable Upper Miocene/ Lower Pliocene age, and the superjacent nonfossilifererous sands are supposed to be of Pliocene age.
