Abstract

Here, we present basin-scale estimates of Greenland ice sheet mass balance in the years 2007 and 2011. To assess the SMB and D components of mass balance in each basin, we draw on (i) airborne ice thickness measurements carried out by the PROMICE program (www.promice.dk), (ii) InSAR-derived ice surface velocity fields generated by the NASA MEaSUREs program, and (iii) SMB fields generated by the regional climate model MAR.
