Abstract
The Scotia Sea is located to the east of the Drake Passage, which is in between the southern tip of South America and the northern end of the Antarctic Peninsula (Fig. 1). It is usually considered the last barrier for complete establishment of circum-Antarctic deepwater flow and the determination of the Antarctic Continent isolation (Lawver et al., 1992).
