Abstract

Despite the fact that the Arctic regions present major technical and environmental challenges to the petroleum industry their potential as one of the last real frontier regions in the world have spurred a significant increase in exploration interest, especially during the past decade. This is also true for Greenland, where the USGS Circum‐Arctic Resource Appraisal has suggested a large yet‐to‐find potential for the offshore basins of both West and East Greenland
