    Abstract

Whole-rock analyses, including REE, are given for 19 samples from four of the six overlapping nepheline-syenite intrusions which constitute the Proterozoic (approx 1310 m.y.) Motzfeldt centre. Incorporation of earlier feldspar-rich cumulates, in addition to extensive crystal fractionation, could have played an important role in the overall petrogenesis of the syenites.-J.A.Z.
