Abstract
As part of WP8, task 8.2 will develop and provide an e-learning course on various aspects of CCS, containing generic knowledge (aimed at the general public) and as well specific technical knowledge on CO2 storage, based on state-of-the-art understanding from comprehensive ongoing R&D efforts (aimed at students or stakeholders). Altogether, 10 e-lectures will be developed, grouped into three e-learning series (e-books).
D8.4 represents the second e-book “Geoscience applied to geological storage of CO2”. It consists of seven e-lectures:
• e-lecture 3: Geological storage and trapping mechanisms
• e-lecture 4: Storage potential and capacity estimate
• e-lecture 5: Site selection and characterisation
• e-lecture 6: CO2-EOR
• e-lecture 7: Storage risks
• e-lecture 8: Monitoring
• e-lecture 9: Numerical modelling of CO2 storage
