Abstract
The Upper Jurassic Hareelv Formation in the Ugleelv section has been correlated to the ammonite zonation and the lower boundary of the formation has been dated biostratigraphically. The hiatus previously assumed to be present between the Hareelv Formation and the Vardekloft Formation does not exist in the section. A re-interpretation of a part of Fensomes work (1979) integrated with data from ammonites, indicates that the lower boundary of the Hareelv Formation is diachronous.
