Abstract
With this yearbook the Geological Survey of Denmark wishes to introduce a new series of publications, which is intended to be an annually-published collection of short papers and articles by the members of the institute. The contents of the yearbook will range over all types of written contributions from scientific papers to popular articles, but main emphasis will be placed on the former. The yearbook aims to create a forum for short papers and also to illuminate the many aspects of the work cf the institute through the wide variety of the contributions.
With the introduction of the yearbook our IV. series publications, which consisted exclusively of shorter papers, will be discontinued. Such papers will in future appear in the yearbook, where there will also be room for even the briefest of written contributions.
