    Abstract

Lower Carboniferous miospores have been recovered from ditch samples from the Dansk Nordsø P-1 borehole situated in the central part of the North Sea. It is concluded, by comparison with British Carboniferous miospore assemblages, that the microflora is of Upper Visean or Lower Namurian age. Outlines of the geology are briefly given.
