Highly experienced head of research department with a scientific background. Responsible for research and professional development, staff, administration, and finance for about 30 employees working with hydrology. Employees are mainly highly skilled civil engineers, geologists, and geographers with a Ph.D. in hydrology.
Main topics in the Hydrology department are integrated hydrological and groundwater modelling; water resources management; interaction between groundwater and surface water; water security; flooding; drought; shallow groundwater, climate change impacts and adaptation; hydrogeology; solute transport modelling; uncertainty assessment and quality assurance in hydrological modelling.
