Varslingssystemet for udvaskning af pesticider til grundvand (VAP). Sammendrag af testresultater med fokus på juli 2023 - juni 2025

This report presents test results for the period July 2023 to June 2025 from the Danish Pesticide Leaching Assessment Programme (PLAP). PLAP is used to verify whether the theoretical risk assessment applied in the approval of pesticides is valid in practice, or if leaching occurs. Real-world monitoring from PLAP can identify leaching of substances that was not detected in the original risk assessment. Pesticides selected for evaluation in PLAP are tested at the maximum permitted application dosage according to the specific crop and under actual Danish field conditions, that is, standard agricultural practice. The PLAP fields represent different types of climate, geology, and soil conditions across Denmark, including sandy and clayey fields. When a pesticide is selected for testing, water from the field is analysed for a minimum of two years for the parent compound and/or one or more of its transformation products. This PLAP report presents findings from new and ongoing tests. These results cover tests of eight pesticides, which involved monitoring of 17 substances. Of these, three were parent pesticides, and 14 were selected transformation products from the eight tested pesticides. The test results showed that seven substances in total, including the three parent pesticides and four transformation products, leached to groundwater beneath the fields at concentrations exceeding the limit value of 0.1 µg/L during the first year of the test period (2023–2024).
