Resumé
A review is presented on the crystal chemistry of indium chalcogenides as a contribution to enhance the smart search for the metal and improve its exploitation from massive polymetallic sulphides. Data on trace element concentrations concerning Neves-Corvo and Aljustrel ores from
the Iberian Pyrite Belt (IPB) are commented. Suggestions are put forward to improve the search for indium in plausible carrier minerals.
