Resumé
This report is initiated in the context of the Innovation Fund Denmark project MapField running from 2018-2022 (https://eng.mapfield.dk/). The purpose is to describe a prioritization tool on an ID15 (approximately 1500 ha) catchment level that can assist in selecting, which areas are most suitable for implementing the new concept (called N-MAP) to support targeted N-regulation of agriculture to harvest the largest possible benefits for both the environment
and the agricultural production.
The N-MAP concept is based on the collection, interpretation, and modelling of large amounts of data to precisely calculate the transport and turnover of water and nitrogen (N) in the subsurface. The result is a high-resolution map of the N-retention in the subsurface, e.g. at field scale with a relatively low uncertainty.
The prioritization tool is developed through an iterative process with internal and external experts (contributing authors of the report) in workshops and individual meetings, eliciting knowledge on specific issues, and finally, based on comments on the first version of this report. The aim has been to reach a consensus, or an optimal compromise, as evaluated by
the editors.
