title = "Importance of uncertainty in data and modelling for evaluation of programme of measures",
abstract = "The key sources of uncertainty of importance for evaluating the effect and cost of a measure in relation to preparing a WFD compliant river basin management plan are (1) uncertainty related to framing of the decision making process; (2) uncertainty related to hydrological models (input data, parameter values, model technique, model structure); and (3) uncertainty in economic assessments. This paper presents concepts and tools developed in the HarmoniRiB project (www.harmonirib.com) for handling uncertainty in data and modelling. Results from case studies focussing on assessing uncertainty on the effects and costs of specific measures will be presented at the conference.",
