Abstrakt
Four different types have been recognised. Type 1 and 2 cycles were formed as the result of repeated subaerial exposure of lagoonal sediments. Type 3 and 4 cycles were formed as shallow, high-energy shoal sediments became exposed. These cycles result from rapid fluctuations of sea-level. The fluctuations were too rapid to allow facies progradation of any significance and the different cycles aggrade and are therefore very localized. -from Author
