    Resumé

    A new species of bivalve, Mytilus roesnaesiensis, is described from the Lower Eocene marine clay with ash-layers on the pen insula of Røsnæs, NW Sjælland, and fragmentary remains of sharks, teleostean fishes, and birds are briefly discussed.
