I study the response of Earth's ice sheets to our changing climate. This involves combining satellite observations of 'when' and 'where' we are losing ice with simulations of how the ice sheets may evolve under future climate. I have a strong interest in subglacial processes — meaning what's happening at the ice-bed interface — beneath the Greenland Ice Sheet. In addition to assessing ice-sheet health, my current projects involve investigating geothermal hot springs beneath glaciers and understanding why mega-crevasses are appearing very far inland in Greenland in recent decades.
