  • RESEARCH PROFILE

Competencies in reconstruction Quaternary variability of the Greenland Ice Sheet and changes to the surrounding ocean currents based on Greenland fjord, shelf and deep sea sediment cores. North Atlantic paleoclimatology, paleoceanography and climatic teleconnections based on marine and lake sediment cores.  Research interests includes:

  • Ocean cryosphere interactions and tipping elements in the North Atlantic climate system
  • Ocean cryosphere interactions by marineterminating glaciers
  • Sediment fluxes from the Greenland ice sheet
  • Using paleodata for numerical model improvement
