CV

Research fields:

  • Assessment of groundwater quality: State, trends and vulnerability on a regional, national, and European scale using large datasets.
  • Assessment of drinking water quality: Exposure on a national level using large datasets.
  • Anthropogenic impact on the environment: Evaluation of regulation on groundwater quality such as nitrogen or pesticides application.
  • Concept development: Execution of field-scale geochemical investigations and laboratory analyses to support development of concepts for upscaling by using geostatistical and hydrogeological numerical modelling.
  • Integrated studies: Establishment of and collaboration in interdisciplinary integrated studies to increase knowledge on societal and environmental challenges such as 1) the relation between drinking water quality and human health, 2) the anthropogenic impact on the aquatic environment, 3) relation between economy and environment.
